The Maison Tournante (turning house) is owned by Dominique Quinet, who has lived there since she was six years old. The house was built in 1958 and is still considered to be a remarkable example of environmentally friendly architecture. The house can rotate to follow or avoid the sun, greatly reducing heating and cooling costs. The small motors can turn the house full circle in 90 minutes. (Photos © Jock Fistick)
