The courtyard in FIU’s Deuxieme Maison building is known as the “Sky Lounge” and features three hanging stainless steel nets with over 3,000 air plants and blue-flowering vines on the surrounding walls. Two large circular benches, custom-designed for this project, provide a place to sit back, relax and take in the sky above. Over 20 students participated in the project, which was designed by FIU Landscape Architecture professor Roberto Rovira.
