CHIMAY, BELGIUM - JAN 9-2003 - The Abbey of Notre Dame de Scourmont was founded in 1850 and is currently home to 22 monks including seven visiting monks from Africa. In 1862 the monks started brewing Chimay beer as a means of supporting themselves. However today, the monks do not directly participate in the beer production. (PHOTO © JOCK FISTICK)
